We want everyone to be able to use Flock XR.
You can change the theme, zoom, language, and use keyboard or touch controls.
If something is hard to use, please tell us so we can improve it.
1. Our commitment to accessibility
Flock XR is designed so that as many people as possible can:
- use it on a wide range of devices
- choose a theme that suits their needs
- use touch, mouse, trackpad, controller, or keyboard
- read our Knowledge Base clearly
- create projects without needing an account
We want Flock XR to be usable by all learners, including those with access needs, additional needs, or disabilities.
2. Features that support accessibility
We are continually working to improve accessibility. Flock XR currently includes:
Interface Themes
- Light and dark themes
- High-contrast elements in the editor
- Clear button shapes and icons
Multiple Input Methods
- Touch controls
- Mouse, trackpad, and controller
- Keyboard support (where available)
Language Options
- The editor includes a mechanism to change language
- Languages will be added over time
- We use plain language in the Knowledge Base
Device Flexibility
Flock XR works on:
- laptops
- Chromebooks
- tablets
- mobile devices
- touchscreens
- older hardware
This helps reduce technical barriers in classrooms.
3. Where we are improving
We are actively working on:
- clearer focus indicators for keyboard navigation
- improved screen reader support
- more language translations
- smoother controls for touch-only users
