We love seeing people use Flock XR in schools, clubs, libraries, workshops, and other learning spaces. These guidelines are here to make it easy for you to talk about Flock XR while helping us protect the Flock XR brand.
Using the name “Flock XR”
The official name is:

Please write it with a space between “Flock” and “XR”.
You are welcome to use the name Flock XR when you are talking about the app, resources, activities, or teaching materials.
For example, you can say:
- “We are using Flock XR in this activity.”
- “Students will be learning with Flock XR.”
- “This workshop includes an introduction to Flock XR.”
- “A creative activity using Flock XR.”

Please ask us before using the logo or bird mascot on posters, websites, presentations, flyers, videos, social media posts, or other public materials.
If we give permission, please use the logo or mascot exactly as provided. Please do not change the colours, crop it, stretch it, redraw it, add effects, or combine it with another logo or graphic unless we have agreed this with you.

You can say that you are using Flock XR, teaching with Flock XR, or running an activity that includes Flock XR.
Please do not use the Flock XR name, logo, or mascot in a way that makes it look like your activity, organisation, event, or materials are officially run, sponsored, endorsed, approved, accredited, or certified by Flock XR or Flip Computing Ltd unless we have agreed this in writing.
For example, you can say:
“We are using Flock XR as part of this activity.”
Please do not say:
“Official Flock XR partner”
“Flock XR accredited provider”
“Approved by Flock XR”
“In partnership with Flock XR”
unless we have agreed this with you.
Keeping things suitable for young people
Flock XR is used by children and young people, so please only use our brand in places that are suitable for them.
Please do not use the Flock XR name, logo, or mascot near content that is inappropriate, harmful, offensive, discriminatory, violent, sexually explicit, hateful, or otherwise unsuitable for children or young people.
Using the word “accredited”
The word “accredited” is only for people or organisations that have a formal agreement with Flip Computing Ltd.
You can say:
- “We are using Flock XR.”
- “We are teaching with Flock XR.”
- “We are running an activity using Flock XR.”
Please do not say that you are “Flock XR accredited”, an “accredited Flock XR provider”, or anything similar unless we have agreed this in writing.

The word “partner” is only for organisations that have a formal agreement with Flip Computing Ltd.
You can say:

Posters, events, and teaching materials
Schools, educators, clubs, libraries, and community groups are very welcome to mention Flock XR in posters, event listings, teaching materials, and activity descriptions.
If you want to use the Flock XR logo or bird mascot, please ask us first. Use of the Flock XR logo or bird mascot does not mean that the activity is officially run, sponsored, endorsed, accredited, or approved by us.
Open source and the Flock XR brand
Flock XR is distributed under an open source license
However, open source permission does not automatically include permission to use the Flock XR name, logo, bird mascot, or brand style.
Please follow these guidelines when using the Flock XR brand.
Asking for permission
To ask for permission to use the Flock XR logo, bird mascot, or other brand assets, please email:

- who you are;
- the organisation you are part of, if relevant;
- how you would like to use the Flock XR brand;
- where the material will appear;
- how long it will be used for;
- a draft or preview, if you have one.
We may say yes, say no, or ask you to make some changes.
If we need to ask for changes
Flip Computing Ltd owns the Flock XR name, logo, bird mascot, and visual identity.
We may ask you to change, remove, or stop using the Flock XR brand if we think the use does not follow these guidelines, could confuse people, suggests a relationship that does not exist, or could harm Flock XR or Flip Computing Ltd.
If we ask you to change or remove something, please do so promptly.
