Most problems in Flock XR have simple solutions. This guide lists the issues people see most often and how to fix them quickly.
I see a blank or frozen screen
Possible fixes:
- Close other tabs to free memory
- Restart the browser
- Clear your browser cache
- Switch to a different browser
- Restart your device
On very old devices, the scene may take longer to appear.
My project file will not open
Check these points:
- Make sure the file ends in .flock
- Do not rename the file extension
- Make sure the file is not empty or corrupted
- Try opening it on another device
- Make sure you saved it from Flock XR, not another app
Uploading a .flock file replaces the project currently open, so save your work first.
I want to save my project but get a macOS warning
Message example:
“Warning: this site can see edits you make.”
This message is from macOS, not from Flock XR.
It only appears when you choose a file to upload or save.
Flock XR can only see the single file you pick, and nothing else.
Your privacy is safe.
Flock XR feels slow on my device
Try these steps:
- Close other apps or tabs
- Restart your browser
- Update your browser
- Use Chrome for best performance
Older devices still work — they just need a little help.
