The gizmos are tools that you can use to add, colour, position, rotate, resize, select, duplicate, and delete objects.
The + gizmo allows you to add new shapes, characters, objects, and other items to your world.

Quick steps
- Open your project in Flock XR.
- Choose the + gizmo from the gizmo menu.
- Scroll through the gallery to explore the available items.
- Click the shape, character, object, or item you want to add.
- Move the crosshair to the place where you want the object to appear.
- Click on the ground or another object in your world to place it.
Choosing an object
The object gallery contains different types of items that you can use to build your world.
You can scroll through the gallery and choose from:
– shapes
– characters
– objects
– scenery
– other useful items
Click an item in the gallery to select it.
The gallery will close and a crosshair will appear on the canvas. The crosshair shows where your new object will be placed.
Placing your object
Move the crosshair over the ground or an object that is already in your world.
When the crosshair is in the right place, click to add your new object.
You must click on a surface so that Flock XR can work out exactly where the object should go.
You can place an object:
– on the ground
– on top of another object
– against part of your scenery
– on any other object in your world
You cannot place an object by clicking on the sky because the sky does not provide a precise position.

The + gizmo is the tool used to add new shapes, characters, objects, and other items to your 3D world.
How do I add an object in Flock XR?
Choose the + gizmo, scroll through the gallery, and click the item you want to add. When the crosshair appears, click on the ground or another object to place it.
What does the crosshair show?
The crosshair shows the position where the new object will be added.
Why can’t I add an object by clicking on the sky?
Flock XR needs a surface to work out the object’s precise position. The sky is not a placeable surface, so you must click on the ground or another object in your world.

Yes. Choose the position gizmo, select the object, and use the arrows to move it along the X, Y, or Z axis.
