When you are building in Flock XR, you can move the camera around the 3D world to look at your scene from different positions.
This is useful when you want to check where objects are, explore your world, or see your project from a different angle while you are creating.
How to move the camera
You can fly around the Flock XR world using the keyboard.
Use the arrow keys to move the camera around the scene:
Up arrow = move forwards
Down arrow = move backwards
Left arrow = move left
Right arrow = move right
You can also move the camera up and down:
Windows
Page Up = move the camera upwards
Page Down = move the camera downwards
Mac
Hold down Fn and the up arrow = move the camera upwards
Hold down Fn and the down arrow = move the camera downwards

What does the camera control?
The camera controls your view of the Flock XR world. Moving the camera does not move the objects in your scene. It only changes where you are looking from while you build and explore.
Think of the camera like your eyes in the 3D world. You can fly closer to objects, move further away, look around a larger scene, or check whether things are placed where you want them.
If you move the camera and want to return to the original view, press Play. This will reset the view so you can see the project from its starting position again.
Why is this useful?
Flying around the world helps you understand your 3D space. You can check whether objects are too close together, too far apart, too high, too low, or hidden behind something else.
It is especially useful when you are building larger worlds, placing objects using X, Y and Z coordinates, or designing a scene that the player will move through.
Quick reminder
Arrow keys = move around the world
Page Up = move up
Page Down = move down
On a mac, hold Fn and press up/down arrow keys to move up and down
Press Play = return to the original view
The camera changes your view, not the objects
Try moving the camera often while you build. It will help you understand your world from different viewpoints and make your 3D scene easier to explore.
