Install Flock XR as an app

You can add Flock XR to the Home Screen of your phone or tablet. This lets you open Flock XR directly from an icon, just like an app.

You don’t need to download Flock XR from an app store.

Android

To install Flock XR using Google Chrome:

1. Open Chrome on your Android device.
2. Go to app.flockxr.com.
3. Tap the three dots menu next to the address bar.
4. Tap Add to home screen.
5. Tap Install and follow the instructions on screen.

A Flock XR icon will be added to your device. Tap the icon whenever you want to open Flock XR.

iPhone or iPad

To add Flock XR to your Home Screen using Safari:

1. Open Safari on your iPhone or iPad.
2. Go to app.flockxr.com.
3. Tap the three dots menu next to the address bar.
4. Tap the Share button.
5. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
6. Make sure Open as Web App is turned on.
7. Tap Add.

A Flock XR icon will appear on your Home Screen. Tap the icon to open Flock XR like an app.

Can’t see Add to Home Screen?

On an iPhone, if Add to Home Screen isn’t shown in the list of actions, scroll to the bottom and tap Edit Actions, then add Add to Home Screen.

Google Chrome on a computer

You can also install Flock XR as an app using Google Chrome on a desktop or laptop computer.

1. Open Google Chrome.
2. Go to app.flockxr.com.
3. Open the Chrome menu using the three dots in the top-right corner.
4. Select Cast, save and share.
5. Select Install Flock XR.
6. Follow the instructions on screen to install Flock XR.

Once installed, you can open Flock XR from your computer like your other apps.

Depending on your version of Chrome, you may also see an Install icon in the address bar that you can use to install Flock XR.

Microsoft Edge on a computer

To install Flock XR using Microsoft Edge:

1. Open Microsoft Edge.
2. Go to app.flockxr.com.
3. Open the Edge menu using the three dots in the top-right corner.
4. Select Apps.
5. Select Install Flock XR.
6. Follow the instructions on screen.

Once installed, you can launch Flock XR like your other apps.

Can I still use Flock XR in my browser?

Yes. You don’t have to install Flock XR to use it.

You can continue to visit app.flockxr.com in a supported web browser whenever you want to create or run a project.

Installing it simply makes Flock XR easier to launch and gives it a more app-like experience.

Using Flock XR offline

Flock XR can also be used without Wi-Fi or mobile data.
